ATDCFL "In the Know" -- December 2019

January 09, 2020 12:33 PM | Lisa Anne Zoldi (Administrator)

From the President

Happy New Year! 2019 was an amazing year and December had so much going on.  From our live webinars to our amazing Facilitator Showdown of ’19 to our informative Off-the-Cuff episodes, ATDCFL is where it’s at!

We led off the month with the Employee Learning Week (ELW) celebrations. First, the Training Clinic led a highly interactive digital encounter (webinar) entitled, “No More Boring Lectures for You” which showed us how to produce highly engaging alternatives to lectures, increasing learning retention.  Next, Ashley Chiasson led a “Digital Portfolios for Learning Professionals” digital encounter that shared tips on the importance of building a digital portfolio.  Finally, Aaron King joined us for the “Ain’t Nobody Got Time for That!” webinar, where we learned how to quickly and efficiently create learner-centric content.  On December 11th, our members enjoyed the Holiday Xtra and Facilitator Showdown 2019.  There was a fierce battle between seasoned experts Brian Kingsbury, Rosa Espinal, and UCF student Luke Horger, but ultimately Brian won first prize.  Congrats to all participants for sharing their passion for our profession.
