FROM THE Chapter
March has been a month unlike any other. We started the month with the best-laid plans but quickly learned that our plans were going to change. Many of us planned to attend LSCON, only to learn it had been canceled. We also had to change the way we set up meetings, gatherings and even our day-to-day work. We are in the midst of a “new normal.” This new normal will include more virtual learning events, more interactive digital interfaces, and more creative webinars. As L&D professionals, we will not let this moment define us, but we will continue to seek innovative alternatives that achieve the same (or better) result because that’s what we do!
With that being said, in March, we had an amazing experience with our Debbie Richards’ digital encounter on “Immersive AR/VR” where we learned about the devices and technologies out there for the best VR/AR experiences, as well as learning best practices for applying these technologies. We will continue with some more great webinars in April!
What’s next?
- On April 16th, Zsolt Olah is leading the webinar: “Storytelling with Data,” teaching us the differences between data and information, and how to move from just showing data to emerging the learner in the design, art and science of storytelling with data.
