It’s been an eventful August for ATDCFL!
Five new members joined this month! A big welcome to:
from the chapter
During the month of August, we continued to host engaging opportunities for professional growth and development.
Our JobHunterz and eLearning SIGs (Super Interesting Groups) continued this month. Alex Salas hosted the last session of our TechSpace eLearning SIG, which focused on HTML5 responsive tools. Rosa Espinal and Elizabeth Castaneda hosted the fourth session of our JobHunterz SIG. This session focused on the strategic use of social media for career seekers.
A variety of webinars were offered this month for our members. Jo Cook hosted “Intro to Virtual Learning Activities”, where participants learned about interactive elements that are important to incorporate in the virtual environment. Adrian La Sala hosted “Embracing the Digital Workspace”. During this session, attendees learned about creating a digital communication framework using a variety of tools. Keith Keating hosted “Preparing Today’s Workforce for Tomorrow: Evolution of L&D”. During this session, attendees learned about the skills expected of the future workforce and how to ensure their organizations evolve to meet this need. Keith also hosted the first session of his two-part series “Design Thinking: From Theory to Application”. This session focused on the theory of Design Thinking and ensured participants left with a foundational understanding of it. Lastly, Jimbo Clark hosted “Hack Your Box For a Sustainable Life”, an interactive session where attendees uncovered stress-free strategies for getting what you really want.
Our new event, “Casual Connections & Coffee”, allows members to connect and get to know each other in a virtual environment. We look forward to seeing everyone in September for another month of opportunities to learn and grow!
