ATDCFL "In the Know" -- November 2020

December 16, 2020 5:14 PM | Kelsey Neumann (Administrator)

During November (and every other month), we are especially thankful for the ATDCFL family!

Two new members joined this month! A big welcome to:

Sarah Matthews

Byron McCoy

from the chapter

We have so much to be thankful for in the month of November; we are especially thankful for our members and want to wish everyone “Happy Holidays!” This month brought many opportunities to learn and grow in various areas of the field - read on to find out more!

Chris Coladonato joined us to discuss “The Digital Workplace: What Capabilities Do You & Your Organization Need”, in which she discussed what tools are essential for effective remote work. ATD also offered two certificate courses this month. The Instructional Design Certificate course offered members the opportunity to develop a strong foundation in instructional design while applying what is learned throughout the course. The E-Learning Instructional Design Certificate course offered members the opportunity to learn how to create effective asynchronous learning experiences using the ATD E-Learning Design Model. Lastly, the monthly event “Casual Connections and Coffee” continued to be held and allowed members the opportunity to network with each other.

We look forward to seeing everyone during the month of December to take part in more opportunities to learn and grow!

  • On December 7th, Jennifer De Vries will join us to discuss “Instructional Design Fundamentals”. During this webinar, we will discuss how to create more effective learning experiences utilizing the foundational elements of instructional design.
  • On December 9th, Dr. Terri Horton will join us to discuss “What Millennials and Gen Z Want in the COVID Era as The Future of Work Continues to Unfold”. During this webinar, she will clarify the difference between the generations, and how to retain and engage each in the workplace.
