CHAPTER EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP

Executive board members serve on at least an annual term basis depending on their role and hold active ATD global as well as Chapter membership status.

Alexander Salas, CPLP, CTT+ 

President


Alex is a Learning Experience Designer (LXD) at Dell Technologies with 12+ years of experience in eLearning and digital multimedia design. He holds a Master's of Education in Training and Development from Trident University and a Master's of Organizational Leadership from Duquesne University. His passions involve enabling facilitators, teachers and other professionals with digital authoring skills and maximizing educational outcomes with learning technology solutions. Alex is also a very active speaker and published author at ATD, Training Magazine and eLearning Guild conferences.

Rosa Espinal  
Immediate Past President


Rosa is a Talent Development professional with 20+ years of experience in industries such as banking, telecommunications, retail and hospitality.  She currently is a Professional Development Manager at CareerSource Central Florida.  Rosa has been an active member of the Chapter since 2012, and has served in various volunteer roles - Director of Site Selection (2012-2014), VP of Professional Development (2015-2016), and President (2018). As Past President, Rosa will continue to leverage her strengths in project management, leadership, and communication to support the 2019 Board of Directors and ATDCFL members. 

Kristina Grant, CPLP 
 VP of Finance


Kristina is a Leadership Development and Learning Consultant at Express Scripts with extensive experience designing, facilitating, and managing learning programs. Her experience spans the hospitality, retail, and healthcare industries. Currently acting VP of Finance, Kristina joined the ATD Central Florida Chapter in 2008. Since joining, she has served in multiple board roles including two-time Co-Director of ATD ICE Volunteers, VP of Member Services, and 2017 President. Kristina leverages her strengths in leadership, communication, and strategic planning to support ATD CFL members.

Melissa Cowan
VP of Programs

Melissa is a creative individual with a passion for digital media and photography. While working for the UCF College of Medicine, she gained extensive knowledge regarding the design and delivery of instructional materials for adult learners, including active and cooperative learning strategies, blended and hybrid learning, and flipped classrooms. In addition to creating course content for adult learners, Melissa has a future career interest in developing effective instructional materials for children with special needs (specifically neurodiverse individuals).

Zizo Aku

VP of Engagement


Zizo is a learning and development professional combining extensive leadership, training, and course development experience. He currently works for Kaplan Higher Education Corporation and his experience spans the higher education, automotive, and military aviation sectors. Zizo recently joined the ATD Central Florida Chapter and is currently the VP of Engagement. He holds a doctorate in Management from Walden University and the CPLP certification. He is passionate about implementing training programs and helping employees develop their careers.
