This session will help you recognize high-quality, content-driven assessments and provide an opportunity to experience poorly written test items from the point of view of the test-taker. Learn multiple-choice question-writing "rules," such as including plausible distractors; recognize common test-item pitfalls, like convergence; and understand how smart test-takers use grammatical cues and distractor length to make educated guesses. Cara North is an award-winning Senior Learning Experience Designer at The Ohio State University.
