Program Description:

Lose weight?  Eat healthier?  Spend more time with family and friends?  Each of these is a noble resolution for the New Year, but a commitment to Self is not complete for you in 2012 until you include your Professional Development on the list!

This interactive, engaging workshop will:

  • •·   Create a shared definition for Professional Development
  • •·   Understand why Professional Development is so important to pursue
  • •·   Identify the roadblocks that inhibit us from further investing in our own Professional Development
  • •·   Explore a model that categorizes areas of Professional Development
  • •·   Examine the value of professional certifications as a component of your Professional Development
  • •·   Recognize those who have earned professional designations
  • •·   Explain why of professional association involvement is an important part of your Professional Development
  • •·   Lay the foundation for creating your own Professional Development Plan

The time is now!  Do not be the proverbial “cobbler’s children,” with no shoes.  Staying vital in your chosen profession is mission-critical to your own individual performance, the performance of the organizations you support, and most importantly, for the continued credibility and growth of the WLP profession!
