The Florida ATD Instructional Design Special Interest Group (SIG) is a statewide, virtual learning community designed to support instructional designers and learning professionals across all Florida ATD chapters. The SIG provides a consistent, high-value space for members to connect, share practice, explore tools, and collaborate on real-world instructional design challenges.

About Our Sponsor
Shawntay Skjoldager (aka: Trainologist) brings over 17 years of experience designing learning across K–12, higher ed, corporate, and consulting spaces. She began her career as a 5th-grade teacher before transitioning into instructional design, where she now leads global programs and supports organizations and aspiring instructional designers alike. Shawntay believes great learning starts with great instructional design and is passionate about helping people create learning experiences that truly work.

Think of a SIG as a club within the club.  It’s a small, trusted group where you show up consistently, share ideas, make mistakes, and grow together. Pick one or two SIGs this year, commit to the journey, and experience what real connection and learning inside ATDCFL feels like.

SIGs work because they’re built on consistency, trust, and shared purpose. When the same people show up month after month, conversations go deeper, feedback gets better, and learning turns into real progress. By committing to one or two SIGs, you’re not just attending meetings; you are investing in a community that supports your growth, challenges your thinking, and helps you move forward faster than going it alone. That’s where the real value of a SIG lives.
