“The Rhythm of Teamwork - Getting Your People In Sync”

Tuesday, August 27, 2013

5:30 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.

Location:  Crowne Plaza - Orlando

Program Description:

Henry Ford once said, “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.”  Whether with your family, your community, or at work, true success only happens when people work together to reach a common goal.  Similar to Ford’s quote, having a goal is one thing.  Getting everyone to buy into it and willingly work toward it is another.

The foundation of successful teamwork is communication.  Each person must have a clear understanding of where they are going, and how they will contribute to the success of the team.  This can only happen through honest, respectful, and frequent communication.

In this session, we will explore one of the oldest forms of communication (rhythm) in order to uncover a primal characteristic that links us all together: we are all rhythmic creatures.  Starting with our heartbeat, everything we do is based on an internal clock that keeps us moving forward.

Through hands-on practice, participants will learn the process of getting people to work as a team.  Specifically, we will cover three areas critical to team success: committing to a shared goal, listening to one another, and taking personal responsibility for ones own actions.
