Our Presenter: Stephen Childs

Steve spent eighteen years of his professional career
in the pharmaceutical industry. He started as a sales rep and was promoted through the ranks to run one of the marketing divisions, then one of the sales divisions, and eventually to the leadership development team.
In 2009, Steve started his own consulting company specializing in leadership development and began working with VitalSmarts. He has worked with groups as small as 3 and as large as 2,500—ranging from the boardroom to the production line.Regardless of audience size, Steve’s goal is to engage the audience in an active learning process to increase retention and post-learning application. He believes intentional application is the primary purpose of a training session, and if we don’t convert the learning in the classroom to our professional and personal lives, we have wasted time and money. Facilitating this successful transition is one of Steve’s areas of expertise. Helping people grow, develop, and become better leaders and better people is one of the primary drivers in his life.
