February 22, 2011 5:30 - 8:45

During this interactive program you will have the opportunity to participate in various round table discussions and fill your Knowledge Toolbox with the latest and greatest advancements in learning and development from seasoned professionals.

This program will be a “Speed Learning” experience!  You will learn concepts and strategies related to the different roles from an expert in the field.  You will also have the opportunity to discuss what others are doing to remain current and effective in their area of expertise. You choose what you focus on!  You will choose three of the four round table discussion groups.  The objectives of each discussion are listed below.

  1. Performance Consulting Skills with Dr. Barbara Seifert: Whether in an organization or independent making the shift from focusing on what people need to learn (training) to what they must do (performance) is key in today's business environment.  Learn conceptual framework and practical techniques relevant to improving performance.  Explore how to work with Executives and Managers to identify the true business need.
  2. Measuring and Evaluating Impact with Debbie Zmorenski : Learn some of the newest methodologies in measuring and evaluation learning.  Find out how you can make sure your training is having the desired result.
  3. Making E-Learning More Meaningful with Bill Sawyer: Learn how to make E-Learning more meaningful to the learners and ensure the transference of knowledge.
  4. Facilitating an Effective Learning Event with Barry Altland: What creates the difference between facilitators leveraging the same pre-developed learning content?  It’s all about Facilitation.  Learn techniques that ensure your learning events leverage adult learning theory, are interactive, and engaging, and draw upon the collective knowledge that exists within the participant group.
