In this hands-on session, Robb Bingham, an award winning Learning & Communications Strategist, will show you why you are missing out on significant opportunities for yourself, your department, and your staff if your initiatives are not being measured and how to put some method behind the madness of measuring the effectiveness of learning solutions.

To best participate in this session, bring two or three project ideas that are currently (or soon-to-be) underway.     

eLearning vs. mLearning

In this highly interactive session, you will:

  • Learn the difference between an eLearn and an mLearn.
  • Examine the design considerations for an mLearn.
  • Discuss when an mLearn is a better solution than an eLearn.
  • Learn about key do's and don'ts when developing mLearn content.
  • Examine tools used in the development of an mLearn.

  • Discuss elements of storyboarding that increase engagement for the learner.
  • Examine tools used to storyboard.
  • Discuss tips and tricks that aid in the rapid development of a storyboard.      

Emerging Technologies in Learning

In this hands-on, interactive session you will: 

  • Examine the impact emerging technologies will have on organizations and their people.
  • Discuss why you should consider emerging technologies as solutions for your organizations learning dilemmas.
  • View and discuss examples of emerging technology.

 eLearning Cook-Off

Demonstration

Are you a fan of CHOPPED, IRON CHEF, or CUTHROAT? Yes? Then get ready for the:

eLearning COOK OFF

In this interactive demonstration you will:

  • Witness professionals simultaneously build a learning product using different tools (Captivate, Articulate, etc.).
  • Ask questions you may have as to the techniques and choices they are making to build their learning product. 

*Note: The conference will run from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and allow time for networking.

  3. Students will need to register with a valid student email, and/or submit proof of current registration. 
  4. Membership period will be for 12 months at rate of $30. After promotional period, rate will be $30 for Power Members and $40 for Affiliate Members.            

Important Information        

  • Cancellations are by 5 p.m. on July 13, 2018. Pre-Paid registrations will not be refunded until after July 16th. This policy will remain in effect as an effort to cover room and catering expense. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
  • Photos are often taken during the events and may be used for newsletters, the website and marketing purposes. If you prefer not to appear in the image, please let the photographer know at the event.
