Cheryl Blakeney

Cheryl Blakeney was born in Mt. Vernon, New York, and now resides in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Anyone that knows Cheryl also knows her true passion and purpose in life is that she loves to help people.  She has been a mentor for 16 years, inspiring youths to pursue their dreams in life through a scholarship program for lower income families.  About 2 ½ years ago, she became a Financial Educator and that has changed her life.  As an Accountant for more than 35+ years, she knows the value of money.  Therefore, her purpose and her vision is to educate and help people manage their money, plan for their financial future, and reach their goal of financial freedom.  Financial education is not something reserved just for the wealthy, everyone deserves the opportunity to have access to the knowledge and resources to become financially independent.

Calen Potter Valmond

Calen Potter-Valmond was born and raised in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.  For the last 20 years, she’s called Florida her home.  She is married, has two adult children and is also a grandmother to an almost two-year old.  Prior to become a Financial Professional, Calen was in the legal profession.  As a Financial Educator, her mission and vision is to help people from all income levels create appropriate financial strategies, build financial confidence and pursue financial independence. The image people have of a financial professional is changing just as the nation’s demographics are changing. Yet, there are thousands of people who are currently underserved or overlooked by the current financial services industry.  She states, “Many people worry about money every day and I have the opportunity to help put an end to that worry.”
