Trends in Talent Development

Thursday,  August 28th, 2014

5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Location:  Crowne Plaza - Orlando

Program Description:

Training and developing employees is essential to achieve sustainable growth in today’s competitive marketplace. However, social and technological changes in our globalized economy have completely changed the way we develop talent. Learners are more autonomous and have instant access to information, at the time of need. New technologies have fueled digital communication. As the millennial generation continues to grow in the workforce, organizations will need to make major adjustments in their approach towards talent development.

This session addresses the key trends that are shaping the training industry today. Developing the competencies of our workforce will never cease as a priority, but we need to carefully consider whether our learning and development strategy meets these trends. This session will provide you with a deeper understanding on…

·         What are the most effective training practices and learning approaches?

·         With all the multimedia tools and new technologies, which ones should we be using?

·         Where does mobile learning, rapid learning, informal learning, and social media learning fit into all of this?

·         Which competencies of the L&D Professional are most important for the future?
